About The DENHOLM & BLEGG Tree
This site is the Family Tree Of Heather Blegg and Wayne Denholm.
While this site was commenced in April 2005, I began working on my family tree
while still at primary school, when it was just 2 pages of hand written
information. It has just been in the last few years that it has grown to a
very large tree.
The people that make up this family were from all walks of life, from the
convict and the Marine that guarded him, to the freeman who hoped for a
better life for himself and his family, the craftsman who made his own
ploughs, the carpenter, the jeweler, and the grave digger to the young mother
with a full time job looking after 16 children.
Some arrived on the ships of the 1st Fleet, the 2nd and the 3rd, others did
not arrive until 1956 or even later than that to this great country.
It now also includes a large branch of the WILLIAMSON family of central
Victoria, the first 2 to arrive travelled on the Ticonderiga, when it arrived
it was sent to the newly formed quarantine station at Portsea on the Victorian
coast, so many had died from contagious disease.
Some of the people in this tree lived to a ripe old age others died moments
after birth.
There is an opportune time to do things,
a right time for everything on the earth,
a right time for birth and a right time for death........
A right time to embrace and another to part....
                               Ecclesiastes 3 (The Message)
I have endeavoured to check all the information I have recieved, but of course
there may be errors including typing or spelling errors, please let me know
when you find them.
Thank you
Heather Denholm nee Blegg
